Thank you for visiting Sew Fab! Designs.  We are sure you will find some really unique and fun products.  My name is Julie Dunsmore and I am the creator of Sew Fab! Designs. Sew Fab! Designs has been an ongoing work of love and inspiration. My first inspiration being my 5 children. I am a full-time mom to Shane (12), Corinne (9 1/2), Adelyn (8), Patti Ann (6) and Elaine Rose (4 1/2) and of course my supportive husband, Jim! Though I certainly have my hands full with 5 very busy children, I have always made the time for my “creative side!” I have been dabbling in making baby gifts and cards for years. I have most recently founded “Scentsational Salutations” which is my innovative use of novelty fabrics along with a corresponding scent! I am sure you will find them as fun as I do!

My other main inspiration are my parents, Dick and Elaine Schoen, whom I have dedicated my work to. They are with us in spirit and their spirit certainly lives on in our family. I am the youngest of 14 children and we all hope to continue their inspiration of love and dedication to family and those in our lives. I know my Mom is the driving force behind my love to sew. My Mom made her own wedding dress and numerous daughters’ wedding dresses, etc. etc…Though I have never tackled these types of projects, I have decided to use my love for sewing to create my unique designs. I have always been drawn to the sewing machine. (That is usually where we would find our Mom late at night…either there or the laundry room!) So I’ve decided that this is something I need to pursue!

In my time designing baby burp cloth/onesie sets I have had people ask “Can you put on their initials?” and I have responded “No, I don’t have that fancy machine.” I decided I can do it a different way! I now make my designs with big, bold initials cut out in fabric. This has evolved into adding my matching hand made “Love Letter” card to the set.  My “Scentsational Salutations” line of note cards has evolved from my use of themed fabric. We are sure you will find a theme for just about anything!  If we don't have it, let us know your interests and we will create it!

This is what my business name, Sew Fab! Designs represents! The fab part is from “fabulous” and of course “fabric”. The “sew” part, well that is self-explanatory!  We look forward to helping you find that very special and SEW FAB gift!
